In concert Jaques Morelenbaum
The cellist and arranger Jaques Morelenbaum is from Thursday in Barcelona, after a week of trials in Hamburg with the NDR Big Band and the Omar Sosa Quartet. Musician passionate about music (like a truism, but it is not), Morelenbaum attended last Friday in the Palau to the display of Jamie Cullum and double concert Saturday at the Teatre Joventut de l'Hospitalet Ivan Melon Lewis and Horacio Hernandez The Black Italuba. Given the particular affinity between the Cuban and Brazilian cultures, musicians and the Melon Black did not hesitate to question Morelenbaum about their experiences with musicians such as Antonio Carlos Jobim (with whom he played 10 years until his death), Caetano Veloso ( 14 years together) and Gilberto Gil (a collaboration still active). Both
pianist (Melon) and drummer (The Black) back this week to Barcelona, the first Buika as a musician and also to open their concert at the Palau presenting his first album as leader, Cruise (Wednesday, December 1), the second special guest Omar Sosa for his anticipated debut at the Palau, performing ( world premiere) the spectacular Morelenbaum wrote arrangements for big band from the work of Sosa (Tuesday, November 30). Sosa's concert will be recorded also by the television channel Mezzo.

The 'blindfold test & winefold' Chucho Valdés Monvínic
journalist Dan Ouellette Down Beat has returned this week to Barcelona to its second blindfold test in public, with Chucho Valdes as a guest. New this year was not only the seat, Monvínic, but also the fact that the music chosen by Ouellette would be accompanied by a wine pairing chosen with skill and impeccable musical sensibility César Cánovas, Monvínic sommelier.
Here are two photographic evidence of a single afternoon in the company of one of the musical geniuses of our time, Chucho Valdés.

Ispy Wii Game 6 Arrows
RIDDLE
is not a mirage or a mirror is not a puddle
the world upside down inside
not bright silver or dark silky and polished to reflect not the curtains
the night fell heavy on the lid
undecided but perhaps soon between the barbarian roar of the motorway (background not heard) the song of birds suddenly aware playful
ear or maybe a smile at seeing the human form of the corkscrew with arms raised
is speechless anxiety in the stomach
unloading trucks of memories is not upset when everything is wrinkled when it bites clothing
when everything gets lost at the wrong rate and the waves break us in the face and flies into the mouth we
is perhaps a desire to quiet flowing venture beyond the predictable spiral navel
suspicion even in
dark wet in the territory where it develops seeds intact
dancer preparing to dance by invisible strings as the route of a butterfly
as the graph plots the intensity of Sighs over time
beyond music metal hammers ominously predictable
beyond bureaucratic syntax wears senses
inseparably at least three are blended here:
I sense a sweet heat flavor color sound or any of the many open to the enigma
apparently secured the pain felt in fear of passion burning glare or any emotion that shakes, breaks, open the enigma half hidden behind a mustache
normalized standard language in the sense glimpses of understanding that we put, for convenience, in a hilly area or roof
where on summer nights you can see stars as big as fists
